We arrived in Turkey from Vietnam more than four years ago. We had
no clear ideas about what to expect once we got here. First surprise was
becoming instant multi-millionaires. I've never seen so many zeros
before. That's changed now with the New Turkish Lira but it was fun
while it lasted.
After two 'interesting' and exciting years in Istanbul, we have set down
in Tarsus, on the south coast. You couldn't find two more different
places very easily and there has been a lot of adjustment on our part, but
Tarsus is just fine!
